All Spanish speaking poets and writers in the state of Oregon to participate in the first

POETRY AND LITERARY CONTEST "PROYECCION LATINA"

To be held in Salem, Oregon on November 20, 2011
to commemorate the 101 anniversary of the Mexican Revolution.

DISCIPLINES:
The contest will be divided into two parts: Juegos Florales - poetry and a short story.

RULES:
I.The contestants will send an original, unpublished poem using the topic of their choice (unlimited length) in Spanish, plus three additional copies.
II.The contestants will send an original unpublished short story with the topic of their choice in Spanish with three additional copies at a maximum of five pages. (Letter size, double spaced)
III.The works will be sent or delivered in a sealed envelope with pseudonymous (name visualized by the author) name of the participant and title of the work written on the front. Also, inside should be a smaller sealed envelope with an informational card that includes the following: pseudonymous, author's complete name, address, phone number, email, and place of residence.

IV.The contest will be open from March 31, 2011 . The works will be accepted until October 03, 2011 at 18:00    hours.  All works have to be sent or turned in to Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Building 16.
V.The contestants are responsible for original, quality, unpublished work presented at this contest.
VI.The jury grading the works will be recognized people of the literary field and their decision will not be contested.
VII.The participant‘s works that result in winners will earn of the following prizes:

First Place:        Poetry, natural flower, diploma and $ 500 in cash.
Second Place: Third Place:

Short Story, diploma and $ 500 in cash.
Both discipline fields, diploma and $ 300 in cash.
Both discipline fields, diploma and $ 100 in cash.

VIII.The prizes will be given to the winners in a solemn ceremony on November 20, 2011; they will be presented by Enrique Romero Cuevas, minister of the Mexican Consulate. Time and place of the ceremony will be announced shortly.
IX.The results will be given to all winners in a personal matter and will be published by the media.
X.First Place winners, in both disciplines, will be reading parts of their works at the ceremony.
XI.The identification cards will be protected by FACES of America and only the cards of the winner will be opened. All .the originals will not be returned.
XII.Unforeseen issues will be resolved by the organizing committee or by the judges.
