OUR mission is to unlock the potential of the people of Oregon, building and sustaining healthy communities through education opportunities, promoting empowerment of parents and students and respect for cultural diversity and grass roots.
In the past twelve years, Oregon has experienced a considerable increase in the phenomenon of migration of families from Mexico. Families with very low incomes, no or very little basic education, who venture to come to a country unknown to them with an unknown language, also only counting on the strength of their arms to support their families. School districts in Oregon do not have the resources or staff trained to care for this population.
FACES of America, as well as facilitate access to existing resources in our community is strongly committed to providing the following services:
• Adult Literacy
• Primary Education
• Secondary Education
• Preparatory
• GED
• English as a Second Language
• Training of parents
• Advising for newly created Community Plazas
• Training and Ballet Folklorico Escort FACES
• As future plans will be offered technical courses through partnerships
with community colleges in Oregon and CONALEP in Mexico.
